It's cyclical... duh!

The Discovery Channel's website has an informative article on the re-fertilizing of our oceans from icebergs... and an unlikely (and positive) offshoot.

In iron-poor Antarctic waters, melt-water from icebergs is fertilizing the seas with the metal, fueling a proliferation of sea life — and removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
